Meet our new Social Equity and Difference intern, Arielle Moss! Arielle graduated from Indiana University with degrees in Biology and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures in May 2015. She spent the past year teaching English in Morocco. While in Morocco, she also interned for an NGO, Dar Si Hmad, devoted to promoting educational equity and environmentally sustainability in the communities of Southwest Morocco.
This year, Arielle has returned to IU to finish prerequisite courses to apply to medical school next summer. She is excited to work with the Office of Sustainability as its Social Equity and Difference Intern toward a greener and more inclusive IU! Interested in how public health, sustainability, and environmental justice intersect, she hopes to connect IU’s diverse student and faculty body with the Bloomington community in cultivating a collective culture of responsibility toward sustainability.
Check back later this week for a blog from Arielle about her work in Morocco!
