Meet our campus landscape and public space planning intern, Ryan Clemens! Ryan is a second-year graduate student at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He is pursuing degrees in public affairs and environmental science with concentrations in sustainability/sustainable development and environmental planning. He previously graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in landscape architecture and environmental studies. After graduation, he spent three years working with AmeriCorps in Montana, Nevada, and Alaska; free-lance landscape designing; and managing a start-up aquaponics farm in Wisconsin.
His passions lie in ecology and conservation planning as it applies to urban development, and he is interested in applying his knowledge to create sustainable and engaging public places at Indiana University. He is also excited about advancing his urban planning, policy, community development, and management skill set so he can further understand and creatively solve problems that will elevate our quality of living in balance with the environment in which we live.
Check back later this week for a blog from Ryan!
